Business Organizations, Commercial Transactions, Real Estate, Estate and Personal Planning, Estate and Trust Administration, Mediation, Municipal Law, Probate Litigation, Agricultural Law, School Law, Taxation
I grew up on a farm in rural Allen County, Indiana and graduated from Carroll High School in 1971. I enlisted in the Indiana Air National Guard shortly after graduation, and in 1974 was commissioned a Second Lieutenant. I attended United States Air Force pilot training.
I received a B.S. degree in Agricultural Economics in 1977 and Law degree from Indiana University School of Law - Indianapolis in 1982.
My primary areas of practice are business organizations, commercial transactions, real estate, estate and personal planning, estate and trust administration, mediation, municipal law, probate litigation, agricultural law, school law, and taxation. Growing up in the farming community, I learned early that it is important to be cognizant of the tax laws and how they apply in different situations. As an attorney, I find myself interested in people and my clients and building a long standing relationship of trust. It is always interesting to learn about their lives and how they got to be where they are - how they acquired their wealth. Most of my clients are pleasant people to work with and are long term clients - I've worked with some families for 3 generations.
